Mary Dickie

Mary is one of Australia’s foremost social change experts. Over almost 30 years, she has worked on some high-profile and controversial programs for social change including the Grim Reaper and the national Drug Offensive strategy. Since then, she has worked with a broad cross section of government and non-government clients developing and delivering some of the most complex and controversial social issues and public interest campaigns in Australia.

Mary previously held several government positions including Director of the Centre for Education and Information on Drugs and Alcohol, adviser to the Government of Papua New Guinea on small business development and education and a member of the Australian National Council on AIDS.

With academic credentials in psychology, industrial relations and media communications, Mary is also an experienced facilitator and public speaker.  Her commitment to the application of behaviour change and social marketing best practice to social change is underpinned by skills in research and strategy development and a unwavering focus on understanding individual and community values.  On this breadth of skills and experience, Mary has built an impressive reputation for delivering lateral and creative responses to complex policy and program challenges.
