Neil Edwards

Neil’s distinguished career has spanned most senior levels at the heart of the Australian, Victorian and Canadian governments, as well as leadership of private and government business enterprises, with an emphasis in past decade on the business and regulation of tertiary education. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was awarded an AM (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 2018 Queen’s birthday honours.

Neil has addressed in depth challenges across a vast range of industries and government including tertiary education, infrastructure, industry development, international trade and investment, budget strategy, science, regional development, multiculturalism, health and welfare, and administrative law. The themes of Neil’s career are advising on big-picture public policy and innovating for practical implementation, connecting government with business, managing organisational change and driving projects.

In all contexts, Neil brings a sharp analytical curiosity and a readiness to ask and answer the fundamental questions, along with an engaging style and a comfort with working with people in all their diversity.
